Should I paint???

I've been thinking about painting my rims and possibly the grill of my '97 ranger black with some sort of Dupli-Color paint. Just wanted to get some feedback on if it is a good idea and if it would look good? (because im REALLY unsure about the grill). Would really appreciate some feedback and tips.

Thanks!!

I'm gonna paint my rims black like you. Will be using a self etching primer followed by a low gloss engine enamel. I figure it will look a lot better compared to the corroded finish it has now. Your rims look way better than mine.
I have been toying with the idea of doing my grill in black too, but I will just use Plasti coat on that. I could peel it off later if I decide I don't like it.
Maybe you should give Plasticoat a try on your grill too. Easy to do and easy to reverse if you dislike it I hear.

This is exactly what I was going to recommend. Plasti-dip is extremely easy to work with, and is quite durable if you do it right. If you don't like it, just peel it off.

Make sure you do coats and don't do one thick coat of plasti dip the first coat you should still see through it a bit give it ten mins or so do dry then start laying on thicker coats and peel any access off while it's still somewhat drying so you will have cleaner lines

I agree with trying the plastidip, but IMO, instead of black, try a medium grey. I think that'll look better on the green.

Also, apply 5-6 coats to make it durable and easier to remove.
