thinking about buying a new truck

Well not exactly new a used one, ive been thinking about buying a toyota truck. im always looking at craigslist and have found some i think for a fair price, i would try and get the 22r motor. what do you guys think of them, ive heard they are good in the mud

depends on what year... try to get your hands on a 1985 truck. last year of the SFA and first year of EFI motors! best truck i think

They are really really bad for frame rot. Not saying that oyu cant find one with a good frame, but they are few and far between.

up to 85 had the solid axle in the front. Up to 84 they had the carbed 22R, and in 85 it turned to the 22RE (fuel injection)

I cant see them being great in the mud with that little 4 banger, just not alot of wheel speed.

well 80 90 model just something i can play with off road and still get good gas mileage

get an 85 and gear the **** outta it... you can turn 40's just fine with a 96hp 22RE with 5.29s and dual cases!
