My wife finally agreed to let me trade my car in for a Ranger. It'll be my second. I owned a 2001 Edge at one time. I'll be looking at an extended cab Sport 4.0 4x4 this time, between 2005-2010. Not sure if there is anything I should be watching for in terms of problems. I'm also trying to stay below 40K miles. Thoughts??

 

if you look hard enough you can find a low mileage ranger...when i bought my 03 2.5 years ago it only had 30K on it...just avoid the 01-02.5 4.0s which you sound like you are

 

if you can get a 2010 they have 4 wheel disc brakes, which is nice but i guess depends what your budget is.

 

09s have discs too IIRC
