4.0L redline

i'm curious of the redline for my motor. i'm having an argument with my uncle about it. the tach doesn't show it.

a mustang forum says the check engine light come on at 6k. another forum (carforum.net?) said 6250 is redline.

i'm not about to go and rev my motor for the hell of it so any imput would be helpful

This is what I found for the 4.0L SOHC explorer engine

Ford's 4.0-liter SOHC V6 is a very sophisticated and nifty engine, with an aluminum head and pistons. It likes to rev, and it's smooth, responsive and great fun at speed. The 240 foot-pounds of torque come way up there at 4000 rpm, and 205 horsepower is produced at 5250 rpm, with redline at 6250
