Last weekend I took off the filler neck and cleaned the gas hose. I brought it back to the point where it was black again and you could read the OEM part number... It looked fine, I didn't see any evidence of cracking so I put it back on. Photos are before cleaning.
I did find this area on my filler that looked a bit funny. I don't think it is an issue at this time.
My bed bolts were being a ***** to get off and I snapped one of them, so I decided to do what I could with the bed on. Because of that, I wasn't able to get to really see what the vent line looked like because I didn't want to break it's connection to the gas tank.
Instead of 2 hours, it took about 5 hours of driving this time for my check engine light to come on again, it makes me wonder if I might have stumbled upon something. This weekend I am going to try to check the vacuum lines, but I'm worried about pulling them off of the "Y" connector if I have to. Is there any advice for trying to pull these apart?
Oh, and I found this too...
