Engine Rebuild, Or Swap?

What's your opinions?

I have 245,xxx miles on my 4.0

should I get a rebuild kit for it, clean it up real nice, and keep adding onto it, or swap it for a 302?

either way I'm putting a new transmission in, it's only a matter of time before this one falls out on the highway

whatever I decide to do, I'm getting alot of help with, they're both a little much to do on my own.

wouldn't a 302 be kind of difficult because of all the electronics and computers and stuff in the truck?

302!!! I believe all you'd need is a computer from a car with that same motor...i think. New motor mounts, maybe an adapter to your trans, other miscelanious stuff too, but man....it'll be sick. Do a search on google or something like that for info on V8'n your truck. There's a bunch of folks who've done it.

Or get an EFI kit for it from edelbrock... that way the electronics arent' integrated into the truck computer, they have they're own computer, i believe.
