Pic request of hitch brackets with BL rear bumper bracket

Hey everyone. Just wondering if someone has a pic or could take a pic of the hitch mount and the rear body lift bumper relocation mount from a PA 3" body lift. I have a 2002 Edge 4x4 and after putting the kit on and the rear bumper relocation brackets the stock hitch won't fit (too narrow). I'd appreciate any pics you have. Thanks.

it will work just involves a very large hammer and some time to bend the PA brackets to where they should be... personally i ditched that crap hitch that looks like *** on a body lift and re-installed my FAV style the Draw tit hidden hitch... i can snap a pic of it if you like. it mounts on the lower part of the frame doesnt bother the PA brackets

That'd be great if you could do that for me. I am open to all suggestions.
So the PA brackets should go outside the hitch brackets then?

yep...involves beat hammer bend...

the person that designed those missed the mark on that bend in it by oh about 1/2" lol none of them ever work from the get go usually

OR...you could add washers between the bumper and the PA bumper brackets that would be 1/4" thick.....so the width of the bumper brackest would be increased by 1/2".

OR...you could add a 1/4" thick spacer plate between the bumper and the PA bumper brackets. (what I did)

OR...heat and bend them PA brackets outward.

And a hitch doesn't look like *** with a bodylift if you mod the hitch....

Does the PA kit come with a spacer? I thought I remembered seeing something about it.

Instructions say the spacer included in the kit is for a Non-Hitch Equipped truck. Although....when i didn't have the hitch on, the bumper mounted to the frame like a glove w/o the use of the spacer in the kit. The spacer is supposed to go between the frame and the PA bumper brackets to fill the empty spot where the hitch would be(which doesn't work too well...because both pieces(bumper brackets and hitch sides) measure the same width.

Thanks Redneckstone. I look forward to seeing them as I am going to work on it Friday with a welding buddy of mine. Don't think I am going to cut any off so it fits closer to the bumper. More likely going to put a couple driving lights in that 3" space for use at night and early in the morning.
It sounds like the guy who put my lift on should have kept the hitch brackets on and put the BL bumper brackets on over those. He said he tried but it was such a tight fit without the hitch brackets he couldn't make it work. He didn't need the spacers either.

We just chopped off 3 inches off of my hitch and used C channel. Then welded it to the frame. I would go for a bolt on idea just so you can take it off if you wanted, but just throwing it out there. Also my buddy is a certified welder so I wouldn't want someone to do some hack welding job on something like a hitch

best pic I have where you can see what I'm saying

here is my Draw tite Hidden hitch.. i know its was for 83-97. it worked with my new truck you will see a small bit on the frame that was folded down where the tire is on the back bolt i had to fold back up. just an adjustable wrench and bent it straight.. drilled the 2 back holes. the 2 front use the bumper holes... thats it....

that hitch is NON modded unlike the 2 posted above me...

i know its been installed on newer also grants 2004 level II had the exact same hitch...

Yea....i've noticed that some hitches mount to the side of the frame and below. Others just mount below. I have no clue as to whether it's a class2 and class3 thing or not...but i suspect it? I honestly have no clue.

Heads up....If you've got one that mounts to the side, like mine, AND you have a BL that mounts to the same holes....it can be a royal pain even with two people.
