cab bolt socket size

what size impact socket should i get to take out my cab bolts?
just want to know because i ended up going to the hardware store like 4 times taking stuff out

I believe cab bolts are 18mm.

ok. i hope it is an 18. i have a 99 if that makes any difference. i just don't want to go out and get the wrong socket and im buyin a new impact today also

Yeah the bumpers take a 19. Just get a whole set, it will be easier. You'll probably use every one in the long run anyway.

BUMP.....figure i shouldn't start another thread since its on the same subject pretty much....
Is there anything i should disconnect to put in my 3" BL blocks? i plan to just do the bed the day the kit comes in and the cab when my friend is home...

Get a torch.

Heat the cab bolts from the bottom, have the friend up top with the impact gun.

Come out like butter that way.

Just did my body lift last fall.
Definitely look at the instructions. There are numerous ground straps and wire harnesses you need to disconnect. Fuel filler lines should be extended for bed lift. Oh I have a 99' too!
I never extended my fuel filler lines....hmmm i wonder if thats ok? hasnt leaked gas yet!
