well double clutching is when you clutch out of gear into neutral, let the clutch out, then clutch into the next gear, you have to do that on farm trucks and such. and there is no harm to not using the clutch, if you do it correctly, it saves you wear, all you have to do is get goin to where you need to upshift, then give it some gas and pop it into gear, it is easier on diesel rigs for some reason

Double clutchin is for vehicles without syncros. So pretty unnecessary for vehicle...oh since about 1968? or so?
Yes you can shift without the clutch, but it's kinda pointless since there is minimal wear while getting up to speed. most wear comes from dead stops, hills, towing, etc.
There aren't any "tricks" any more for faster shifts. Except power shifting...

Only time I've never used the clutch in my truck was when my clutch and slave were basically shot and I could barely even get it into 1st or reverse without jamming it into gear and then if I did use the clutch while shifting it wouldslip like mad, so I'd just rev it up and drop it in gear.
But yeah, you don't need to double clutch syncho'd vehicles. I had to double clutch the International straight truck I learned to drive on when I was getting my CDL.

it's apparent you have little or no experience driving any large equipment trucks. i will agree with you that you dont need to double clutch, im just saying its something to do when you are screwing around lol, no hard feelings my friend :).(which is unfortuneant because they are fun)
