What's everyones outtake on wheel spacers? I ordered 15x10 rims so I could get somewhat of a nice stance out of my truck but the rims came in as 15x8's. My buddy hooked them up for me through his mom's work but she ordered me the wrong ones. I got no stance in the front because of it and it looks kinda cheesy.

I heard wheel spacers would make a good difference but what are some bad things that could happen with the spacers? I know they aren't that great on your wheel bearings right?

I had some and my wheel hub bearings and lower ball joints went out at around 100k-105K miles. I still would use them because they did make my truck look better.

 

I'm at 92k miles right now, so if I put them on they should last till about 200k before I have to change out my hubs and ball joints? Other then that no issues?

Anybody else have any experience with these?

 

Ive got them in the back (1") to make my rear wheels even with my fronts since the Fabtech spindles make your fronts stick out more. Ive got 15x10 wheels too. Personally I wouldn't run them on the front but thats just me.

 

15x10 make a nice stance in the front, that's my problem. I was sent the wrong rims and since it was a hook up I didnt ***** about it. Now I just have to deal with 15x8, just looks kinda cheesy in the front.

I'm running Fabtech spindles as well.

 

well, instead of spacers and wider rims, why not just get rims with less backspacing?

I like the ones I got truthfully just wish they were 15x10 to give it a stance.... at least until I do my coil-over conversion.

 

15x10" wheels will also make the tire appear to be larger than what it is VS. an 8" wheel. It is all in the bulge.

 

are these okay to add to stock wheels?

 

I'm not a fan of wheel spacers for looks, if you need it, then ok...but I say no

BUT if you want to get them let me know and I can get em for you

 

These are the exact ones I've got. You will need to cut your OEM studs shorter tho if you go with 1" ones. Like I said before, I only run them on the back to make my back and front wheels even. I wouldn't advise running them on the front, and if you get them use some red Loctite on them so they don't loosen up on you.

I ran mine for 70K miles and never had a problem with them coming loose. They just add extra stress to your bearings.

 

Extra stress on the bearings and one more weak link at the hub. For street driving I have had no problems with them, but I wouldn't beat on it with spacers.

What would you consider quality? What functions are they good for?

 

I'm also wondering about wheel spacers. How would they do on the front of a 2wd? At some point in time I want to do an explorer axle swap and do 1" spacer in the back and 2" in the front so everthing will be even. Thoughts?

I want to keep my stock Mazda TL Edition rims.

 

from a reputable company (no ebay specials), and function for me would be a wider track width for stability on the trails, not just to make my tire bulge out more...

 

I would just space it out enough to match, I think the Expo is 1" wider so I would just run 1" spacers on the front.

 

So you guys are saying I should go with spacers but only 1' ?

I like the stance of the wheel spacer and it seems like it would be harder to roll the truck vs having 15x8's with no stance. :(

 

I would go with the smallest spacer you could

 

They are all the same as long as they are hub centric, my "ebay special" ones are fine and I would recommend them to anyone else looking for some.
