hi i was wondering ive looked all over to find info on my truck i have a 1995 ford ranger with a v6 automatic, but on the outside of my truck it says ford 4.5 on the front and on the back and yet i don't even think this engine exists here is a pic of the badge.

 

? pop the hood and see what kind of engine you have. i dont think ford ever made a 4.5 unless a previous owner bored it out and stroked it

 

looks like rice to me.

you need to get some stock emblems

i read about this on another webiste, its underneeth the ford blue and crome, its refering to the size of the badge, i bet if you take out the old ruler it comes out to be 4.5"inches

 

It's not rice.....1991 has it right. It's what's under the clear/blue/chrome Ford script. It's the emblem size.

it almost looks like the badge say's Ford 4.56 as in the gear ratio
