Woke up this morning to my truck door standing open... subs amp + box were gone, cd player and center bezel thing gone, and my radar detector gone... all cd's still there...i hadleft the screws in my bezel loose because i had messed with my cdpl ayer like last week... my doors were unlocked as well. I would have never expected to get robbed, there isnt much of a problem with that in my town, plus i live on a dead end road, a good ways outside of town... they had to know where i lived and what i had... my sisters car was next to mine but it was locked... it sucks... i know i wont get anything back... if i ever do find out who might have it though... im so angry :(:( im not one who gets real emotional or anything...this sucks... a guess this is an early birthday present? sucks...

Sorry to hear that man. That totally sucks!
Did you lock your truck? If you did, chances are the "perp" likely is a ranger owner, or someone who has some skills with Ranger locks. If you didn't lock your truck, well maybe it's time to get a alarm, or start locking it each night!
Be ware, if it was an easy lift the first time, they may be back for more!

Yeah my truck was unlocked, the cop said this was the first theft in in my neghborhood in the 8 years he has been working this section... apparently my dog was barking a good amount last night but it didnt wake me up, woke up my sister and mom but neither looked outside... sucks... whats done is done... this has got my seriously thinking about selling my truck... this wasnt just a random act, they had to know i had something and where a lived because i live in such an odd location, its not someplace you would just pass by... im definitely not gonna be modding anymore... gay things like this can ruin someone good...

That or somebody just got lost, and happened to stumble onto your property...
I once had a 93 mustang that I got stuck on a muddy road. I had to let it sit there for about 24 hours until I could get a tow truck (that I could afford) drive out there (way out in the boonies). Luckily nothing got jacked then, but they did outside of my apartment.
But do yourself a favor, even if you're in the middle of the Mojave desert, lock your doors. That simple event could have saved your property.

People suck. They probably did know you, but they might have also been planning to hit the area and didn't know you. I know some people who live out in the boonies...one night a car came down their driveway (obviously not just turning around...it's a long driveway), so they went after the car and called the cops. They did not know the people, but the police did and were able to catch them.

yeah man that sucks.. i did the same thing a few years back... had my car towed home for some reason.. left it in the street unlocked.. came out the next day to get goin on it.. and noticed my subbox was missing.. they got my first 2 12" jl's.. it was sad.. i was pissed.. it was a lesson learned.. sinse then i continually lock my car.. had an alarm put on my ranger when i got it.. never even leave the windows cracked anymore!!!
anyways tho, i hope you and your friend find who got your stuff!!! maybe someone will be stupid enough to have it talked about in school or somethin..

One of the first "mods" I did to my Ranger was get an alarm. I love this truck, and I'd like to keep it in my possession. The truck I had before the Ranger, a 91 Sonoma 4x4, got broken into while I was in school one night. Smashed the passenger side window, grabbed my radar detector, and tried to steal the truck... they busted the ignition. My b/f said they were soooo close to getting it started it wasn't even funny.
People will steal anything. My b/f's 83 Toyota pickup got stolen earlier this year. His mom had to drive it to work (she's an emergency nurse at the local hospital). It was an ugly looking black & rust reg cab, with a homemade flatdeck, no lift, and my old BFG 29" tires. Not even a stereo in the cab. :x My dad had over a thousand dollars worth of tools and equipment stolen from the back of his truck (locked canopy) last month. He was really ticked about it, because he had a large duffel bag he used for carrying all his gear for out of town jobs (construction). He can't find anything like it anymore.
