The only setting that doesn't use the A/C compressor is the panel face setting and I think defrost. All others use the compressor

I prefer to not use it if I can, I rather have the windows down all the time. But it's so hot and humid here now that if I'm going out somewhere I have to use it if I don't want to be smelly when I get there. So if I'm going somewhere where I care if I smell I little, I use it. If not, windows down

I think mine needs that dowel mod done. a/c max is the only one of the two that. Work. I try not to use it since I can't adjust it like I could with just a/c. If I do, I have to leave the rear slider open and I turn it on and off since it gets too cold for my liking.

Max ac is the same as the plain ac option with the exception that it recirculates the air in the truck instead of getting outside air. You can adjust the temp lol. That's my understanding of it anyway

It's alright, I get a stupider looking tan. When I go for motorcycle rides I wear gloves, a jacket, pants, and a full face helmet. The only time any of my skin is exposed is when I'm sitting straight up I get like 1/2" to 1" of my wrist that isn't covered by my jacket or my gloves since I wear short gloves. This results in like the opposite of what happens to people who always wear a watch and keep it tight. I get a pretty well defined ring of tanner skin on my wrists and it looks retarded if you notice it

I use it most of the time when i leave work, its usually about 15 degrees warmer in the building than outside, so its on for my ride home.
on the weekends, unless its really hot, i just keep the windows down. same for the mornings.
I'm also pretty guilty of leaving it on with the windows down. but hey. I'm paying for the gas, I do what i want.

Just about anytime over 70F. I hate heat, I don't even use heat in the winter unless my windows are frost/fogging up or someone is riding with me

so they only choices in the poll are basically always, or never, for whatever reason. I use my climate control as appropriate based on the current temperature in the cab vs outside.

Mine evaporator leaked so I removed everything but the compressor so I can have on board air. I have the tank just need air lines and adapters.

See here's a write up on what I am doing.

My A/C use is on hot/humid days but my windows are open too.

The A/C in my 03 works on every setting except the Floor Only and the Dash Only settings.

Most vehicles have the A/C come on automatically on Defrost, helps to clear the windshield, even if the heat setting is on heat-high.

I sit in my truck to eat lunch at work, so I use it then. I also use it on the way home (only about 5 miles)

With this heat, and my welding operation....I go from 115 degrees to AC. Oh yeah.

In my ranger I normally roll with windows down unless its really hot but In my F-150 i use it all the time because the auto climate control is so awesome Im not constantly adjusting the fan and temp like I have to in my ranger. Auto climate control is one of the greatest inventions of all time and I will never buy another vehicle that doesnt have it.
