There's a NJ meet you might want to make. It's for a mud pit called Fort Mott and the New Jersey Pine Barrens at Wharton State Forest. Probably quite a haul for you, but that's the only one I can think of soon.

I'm in the southeast part of PA in Kennett Square. Hope we get a chance to meet at a meet. Wish you could have made Centralia -- it was a blast.

EDIT: Here's that topic -- https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum/...amp;highlight=

Yeah, we're probably going to do another Centralia meet in the early spring, like April-ish.

ya well i cant lead a trail ride where i wanted...i got into trouble =D. i would seriously stay away from centralia wheelin wise. the coal companies are really cracking down on tresspassers. i dont care if u been there before and didnt have a problem im giving everyone a fair warning now.

S'okay, man! You won't ALWAYS be 17! I'm 49 and I can "testify", lol!

Centralia and Burma Road are north of Reading, PA, near Pottsville, PA (not Pottstown). Further than NJ, I'm afraid. Find Pennsville, NJ on a map. It's just south of the Delaware Memorial Bridge where I-295 crosses the river. That's where Fort Mott is.

Look towards the east coast of Jersey and find Hammonton, north of Atlantic City and bit inland. That's where Wharton State Forest is.

helliboarder - You are 35 miles from Wharton and 41 miles from FT Mott.
There will not be a collection of Rangers and off roading this close to your house again soon.
Come out and meet us at least for a couple of hours either Saturday or Sunday.
Just because Centralia is in PA doesn't make it any closer to Phil, PA - matter of fact it is 115 miles away from you.

PS - what board do you ride and where have you dropped out of helicopters??

If anything we should probably try to avoid the quarry we were in.. the trails we were on, tho, are not active coal-land and while technically private property, they're pretty wide open.

I know some people who know some people, but I can't guarantee I can get us out of EVERYTHING.

I do have a pretty good in at Blaschak Coal, tho, but its hard to keep track of which company owns which operation now.

Start up conversations with guys with obviously built up offroading trucks in your area. Ask them where you can go to get started and I bet they can tell you. Then -- tell us and we'll come up to see you! :)

Where are you located?? Unless you're in Maryland or further south, I can't think of anywhere that is 4.5hrs from Wharton and only 1.5 from Mott. It's really only 1.5hrs or so to drive between them.

Try doing your search with Atsion, NJ as one destination and Pennsville, NJ as the other. I think you'll find better results that way.

Jeep Knockoff's

Shortly after Centralia I tried to make a crack into a web board for a local 'wheelers group. Based on the pix I saw these guys are INTO IT! Tresspassing, permissions, and public land use. Finding places to wheel in anything bigger than an ATV is becoming a huge issue here. I imagine it's true elsewhere as well. Power line wheeling is the big red button around here. They kill threads that feature posts of pictures showing wheeling under lines unless the poster can prove they had permission..

For now I think I'll stick to class IV roads. It may not be as matcho, but it should be cheaper..

Ford part # request..

By me. It's a New England group. From what I gather it's actually a board that serves a conglomerate of smaller independant groups, nearly all of which are Jeep related. I can't find the address right now and the link is bookmarked at work. I really don't think I have the time or resources (read: money) to sufficiently get into it at this point in my life, so I don't plan on becoming that active..

That's the one! Just logged in and did a quick lookie-see. Man, I thought WE had a heated debate about the elections here! Wow. The issue is practically the whole board right now..

I thought you were in the Philly area since you asked about wheeling in that region.

Rand CB'd us and we slipped out of the quarry right behind the truck of the guy who was the security guard. As we came down to an intersection, he has already passed it and was going away from us, so we crossed and headed straight for the exit and avoided him.

Thanks for the heads-up, Rand! :)

The quarry seemed like risky business when we were there Saturday night. A lot of fun though!
