Icon8 Replace Thermostat Housing

i have a 2001 Ranger V6 4.0L. and i am replacing the lower and upper thermostat housing. i really dont want to take the intake manifold off but it looks like im going to have to; one of the sensors will not come out because there is no room. i have all six bolts off and one of the sensors. any help is appreciated
i can post pictures if that will help.

Why are you replacing the housings?

I guessing that it is leaking, mine was. I had it replaced at a local shop, including a new thermostat, for $182.

yeah it had a big leak. i got the top and bottom housing for 57 from the dealership. the shop wanted to charge me 300. my 4.0l is the newer one so its a lot harder to take it out

You have the same motor I do, shop around.
