custom body lift?

Before i start this was a ? form a coworker. Where i work we have military grade alum and he was asking if he cut 3"x3"x3" blocks and drilled out for his mounting bolts would it work. The alum is armor grade. So what would be the pro's and con's of this? In logic this could work, he said that if he could do it the free way he would. And if this works i just might have to do it to my truck lol

You would still need the radiator relocater brackets and the bumber brackets and the fuel line extender and the other stuff like that.
