Major sugery

I just happen to come across a double cab body so I swapped it along with an auto tranny and new 4.0. Wow! What a difference. So much more room and power also no more manual to give out on me. Can't forget the OHC I got too. On with the pics:

Just fooling. I traded in the Ranger and got a Taco:

Rear view camera:

OHC:

My two favorite buttons:

Tight fit:

Its a bran new 2010 Toyota Tacoma 4wd TRD offroad double cab short bed. No long be because I think it looks retarded and also they don't offer the offroad package in a long bed. No manual because they don't offer a manual double cab in CA and I was just tired of a manual. Offroad package means shocks, rear locker, ATRAC(front "locker" through braking system), tow package, HDC(hill decent control) engine oil cooler, trans cooler and some other stuff. I'm so stoked. But even after all the b!tching and blah blah I miss my Ranger. I drove off looking at it and I felt sad. A good but temperamental buddy is lost. I'm sure some of you will be glad that I wont be around. Hey guess what. I don't care. Keep the trash out of my thread.

Thanks guys. Yeah I'm happy. Nothing to b!tch about yet. LOL. Payments are $430 a month for 7 years at 5.9%. Yeah I know 7 years but there is no way in hell I'm paying for 7 years of interest. I plan to send at least $1000 a month to get it paid off ASAP.

As long as you're happy and there's nothing to moan and groan about, then that's all that matters.

Im sorry that whole $430/mo is prolly why i would not spend $33K on a small truck... Maybe a full size would be worth it but hey you like it so thats all that counts

Truck was 30. Tried to get a Silverado but they wouldn't deal. Sticker on the Silverado the way I want it is 36K. Also I don't need a full size. Nothing to tow. When I do need to tow the Taco will tow 6500 lbs. It works for me. Also its 430 because I didn't have too much to put down.

I've always liked the look of a Tacoma. They look sweet lifted with bigger meats. Looks good man. Stick around, no need to leave for good cause you got a Tacoma.

NICE!!! if i didnt need a fullsize i would not hesitate one second to buy a new taco. only thing i hate about em is they are extremely pricy for that type of truck, and theyre so nice id be scared to use it as a truck. at least till i got used to it and broke it in. awesome upgrade!

Better hurry and find a good taco forum so you can go cry to them when something breaks.

J/K those yotas are nice enough trucks, just not my style. I hope you have better luck with it then you did your ranger.

30 geezles? Wow.
It isn't my cup of tea, but it's your truck! If you like it that is what counts!
Congrats, and I can't wait to hear you start complaining about it. haha

Truck looks good man. I really do like the look of the tacos, beefy as hell; but 30k is a lot for a midsize truck. Then again, a new ranger cost 26k-27k. I looked at some used tacos before I bought my Ranger, for one that compared to the Ranger in price and stuff, I'd had to get one that had 70-80k miles on it compared to a Ranger with 9k-26k miles on it. I thought it was redicilus. Nice truck though!

They hold resale value much better than a Ranger. Although you pay more up front too.
