I just bought a 89' ranger and the gas gauge only reads from half a tank to empty. i've looked around but i'll i've found is that it might be the sending unit. I probably won't replace it cause i know when i'm low but i wanna know what part i need. Does anyone have an idea what it is i need?

 

it could be the anti slosh module, the one on my brothers truck died and it worked when it wanted to.

 

On my 1990 ranger the gas guage doesn't work at all,I just fill up every 300 miles to be on the safe side. Only burn 12gals at 300 miles.
