Do you peel...

...off your license plate stickers every year? I'm sure I'm not the only one but I just can't stand sticking another sticker on top of an old sticker on my license plates!

Every year I sit there for 45 minutes just picking the old sticker off my license plate.

That's all... just finished it for another year!

My dad's old plates had like 1/4" of stickers because he did that. lol The plates went thru 2 Aerostars, 2 Explorers, a Windstar and a Taurus.

Yes because they are so easy to steal if they are stacked.

no, i just let them pile up. I also have clear license plate covers which protect the plate and keep thieves away from the stickers.

The registration stickers in NM have the plate number on them so they are useless to another person. To answer the question, yes, I take the previous year's sticker off.

I peel 'em off each year.

PS. A nifty invention called a razor blade does the trick for me. It takes less than 5 minutes.

adam, i don't think we are supposed to remove the old ones. it says somewhere that you just overlap the new onto the old. my car plates, i had 7 or 8 of them. the ranger, i've got 2.

i remember seeing some old man's plates. they had stickers in all 4 or 3 of 4 corners and it looked stupid.

They're definitely not made to be removed. They come apart in about 946 pieces...

It does say to put them over the old ones but I just can't. I just bothers me and I don't know why. lol

I took it off, but my sticker expires in 2015 so I figured I shouldn't have it stacked.

I put mine over the old, but the state of FL makes you change your tag every 5 yrs. (or at least, that is what they told my mother this year when she went to get tags for a car she has had for 4 yrs now, that next year she has to change tags)
