Does this rack & pinion look right???

I just got my rack and pinion, and I don't remember it being curved like that. Could someone tell me if it is supposed to look like this.

Here is the other side, which I thought they were supposed to both be straight.

they are supposed to be straight?

you cant move it at all? theres a joint under the boot where it moves around make its just bound up

and yeah it was just stuck, I got it loosened up and everything is a ok.
