Driving your Ranger long distances

I'm thinking about a california trip, but I want to bring the ranger.

only things done to it is a 2" BL and some 31" tires..

`93 Ext Cab 5spd 3.0 Vulcan

other than remembering what my real speeds are, has anyone else drive their off road rig a long distance??

total miles for my trip will probably be 3800 miles..

suggestions?

I don't hesitate at all to take my truck on trips. It''ll go anywhere. I made a 1700 mile trip with my truck when I had 3:55's and 32's with no problems. Recently, I made a 700ish mile trip with my current set up, no problems at all.

Just do all your regular maintenance before you go and you should be set.

My buddy took his 91 Ranger extended cab to California multiple times all in the period of about a year and a half, without so much as changing the oil. He eventually racked up a little over 32,000 miles with NO oil changes or any maintenance. The truck ran perfect the whole time, but the funny thing was, after he sold it the new owner changed the oil and the engine blew up around 200 miles later.. lol

Just run her!!!

For speed use a Garmin or other gps unit. They all tell you your mph so you can set cruse and not worry.
