There is a diff tho, you can buy cherry bombs for like $20

my friend drives a 4 banger yota tacoma with a si/do flow 40 with crimp bent piping. i think it sounds like crap. like its trying to be a mean sounding rice burner.

 

Wow. I kinda liked how my Ranger sounded when I had the cherry bomb on there. And I paid $15 for mine. Now I have a cherry bomb turbo II ($18 version of a flowmaster).

 

everything?? i have thrush packs on the torino, id like to see you say they sounds bad!! haha. ive been considering a thrush pack for the wifes truck, since she wants loud, i dont know though yet....

 

put a flow 40 on there and take that cats out. that should be loud enough for her.

Don't kill me on this, but while I was in KC, I found a guy that had an edge with an SOHC and he put an import muffler on it and it actually had a nice tone to it. Didn't sound like a long fart when they put them on the 4 bangers lol

 

i had a friend that had a V8 cherokee with a fart can, it sounded good too

 

well my ranger has a glass pack cherry bomb on it thats what the guy laybled it .. but im gonna get true dules 2 tips comming out of the side infront of the back tire. Thats gonna cost me 350.00 no im not going to the same guy cause he wanted way too much and no warrenty for his exaust

 

daniel, first, that price is too high, second i doubt if youre getting true duals, and if you do keep in mind thats pretty illegal. with a muffler and tips i wouldnt pay more than 200-250 for the swept side. i paid 220 with a flowmaster and stainless tips on my F150

 

one true duals on a ranger SUCKS it sounds like *** and makes the truck runs like ****!

spend the $ get a 40 flow with single in dual out you will love it. my flow was the best mod i did

 

whats flowmasters most quiet exhaust? i want something louder that stock with more grumble, but slightly more quiet or the same as a magnaflow. i heard even the flo 60 series is loud...

 

the basic design of the flowmaster makes it hard to get a quiet muffler. and even if you find one, youll find its the same price as a magnaflow. may as well just get the magnaflow

 

Why is it Illegal? Not to current on auto laws in NC or anywhere else for that matter.

 

in order to run "true" duals youd have to alter the catalytic converters, which is illegal in pretty much all the states. you cant modify the exhaust except AFTER the LAST cat in the system. and since rangers have a factory y pipe, you cant touch it. so it goes from dual to single, and you could go to dual again but it would not be "true" duals

 

yeah he showed me that when i was getting my exhaust done...there are 5 cats on our trucks!! 4 in the Y part itself and one right when it comes into a single pipe...he told me that if one went it would be very expensive to replace them...
