parts at cost?
My girlfriends dad works at a car dealership and now can get a lot of good aftermarket parts (lifts, wheels, tires, etc.) through Dealer Services International at cost rather than me buying them at retail. Because of this, I've finally started to save for my lift, though I'm not too sure of how much I would save from the parts being at cost. To anyone who knows auto parts retail? Would it be a decent amount? Anyways I'm stoked about it.

I worked in a different type of retail. But our price mark ups were always 100% over what the company paid for them. So if we paid $10 for it, we sold it for atleast $20, usually more.

Yes, different markets have different levels of markup. We sell Automotive Accessories and parts, which is what this tread was talking about, and I was referring to this market.
Look at the clothing market, there is about a 1000% markup on most of that stuff. Automotive is a little tighter market.
