Hitch with body lift?

Where can I find a hitch/towing package that does not have a 3" gap because of my body lift? One that will fit up right under the bumper.

I have been wanting to get mine fixed for a long time.

What do you think a shop would charge to chop and reweld a hitch.

I am guessing under a $100 for an hour shop time. Do you think it would be better if it was off the truck or on it when they worked on it.

Yeah, a lot of places are about 60 to 80 bucks an hour. I had mine off and we just chopped 3 inches off and welded it to the frame with a piece of C-chanel. But that was a quick and easy fix.

I would say just go by a shop and ask.

I just cut it to slide in between the frame. There are two holes on the bottom of the frame so I drilled in the bottom of the hitch and added some grade 8 bolts. So its bolted and welded (good or bad). I've towed the race truck on a 20 ' trailer about a dozen times. Each time was a 120 mile round trip. No problems. No comments on the "pipes". lol. But here it is with the bumper on it:

This is the closest I have and it reminds me of one critical point- I lost my spare tire carrier. Keep in mind this set up is basically for a roll pan. With a stock bumper, it can stick out further to retain the spare tire. Install would not be as easy as this though.

last pic probably. This one is for a stock rear bumper and it retains the tire carrier. I just whacked and rewelded the hitch, adding some bolts where the pieces were overlapped and welded.:
