Installing Nerf Bars
I finally got me some nerf bars and went to install them but ran into a problem i couldnt get the factory bolt that is in front of the drivers seat under the carpet out how do you get it out? I turned it with a socket but the rubber piece under the truck was turning to.

stockers DO NOT bolt up to the cab... they bolt to the frame (where as any aftermarket one should.... I've taken mine off and installed them on Billy's truck... it's simple really.
Think about it really... why would they want you to put all your weight on a bolt that goe's through a thin piece of metal on the cab... versus the frame.. which is touch as steel.. hey what do you know.. it IS steel

If you pull your carpet up right under there in the front of the cab is a rubber cap it is just in front of the brake pettle you pull up the cap and a bolt that is a 3/4 painted blue on top is the one suppose to come out it doesnt have a nut or anything attached to it but this big a@@ rubber thing under the truck so I would say it is the body mount
