see its simple, so take it to a mazda dealer. assuming its even on the recall list

But it is not the same, land rover makes their own vehicles and are different than any other vehicle ford makes

Most Mazda vehicles are Ford vehicles with mazda badges.

Ford Escape - Mazda Tribute
Ford Ranger - Mazda b600 or whatever they are called so on and so forth

IMO if your going to make a vehicle that is an exact replica (almost) you should fix it. When the original has a fault wouldn't you want the copy fixed as well.

That is just my opinion.

YES but it would have to be done at mazda, i dont know if any mazdas are covered by the recall but if they are they need to be fixed at a mazda dealer..

and if they arent covered its simply because they dont sell as many trucks as ford does so the problem showes up more in the rangers compared to the "B-trucks". it may be the same occorence or % of the total trucks but since mazda sells less then ford there are less mazdas with the problem and there for are consitered a lower risk, yes its rediculous but its a money game just like everything. you save 25cents on 500,000 cars you just made 125k

What the h##l does there profit margin have a roll in this. It's the SAME FAULTY PART AS IN THE RANGER. So What if Mazda doesn't sell as many truck's as Ford. IT'S STILL THE SAME FAULTY PART'S. I bet if you owned a Mazda and couldn't get it fixed under a recall you'd be bit##in to.

Well let's hope this doesn't happen and you can get it fixed. I really feel for you on this. Let's hope you can get it fixed before something happens, because it's apparent that some people here just don't give a f##k. As long as it doesn't effect them they just like to talk s##t.

I am contacting Mazda first thing in the morning before I head to New York. Maybe they can help me in some way.

If you're really that concerned, have the work done on your own, and start litigation with Mazda, Ford or both or do nothing and hope (if it were to start a fire, that you're not in it). Then you would a more serious case against both companies.
