opened the hood to look around and saw something on the steering box, food!!! look like someone left there lunch on my new ranger when the truck was being built which was just in Nov, piece of fruit ,looked like melon? lol... funny stuff. 2007 FX off road supercab ranger.

I remember cleaning mine I found a shot gun shell or two behind the jump seats. It was a used truck of course. I still have them around here somewhere...No fruit though!

I would suspect the dealer rather than the factory
or even the transport company as they move by rail or truck and then go through staging lots

i found two speeding tickets in mine...i thought that was pretty funny

 

well if you bought your truck in New Jersey it was railed from MN to the port at Newark
there it was 'prepped' at FAPS and then trucked to the dealer
could have blown up into the engine compartment at any of those times or been left there when the battery was connected
also possible some varmint picked garbage and then cozied up in your nice warm engine compartment for a snack
I would not be too concerned

Haha that's funny man, I never found anything in my truck and it was 3 years old when I got ahold of it.

 

I found an address book in mine. Me and my friends on the way home from snowboarding we pranked called all of there contacts.

 

I found a couple cig burn holes in the cloth on my middle seat area, and on the bottom of the arm rest.........doesn't smell like its ever been smoked in though. I wish they weren't there though. lol

 

lol nice. but i would think it would be really rotten or hard to even tell what it was if it was from when the truck was assembled.
