Common leaking areas?

Well, I have some water in my truck. The carpet underneath the floor mat on the drivers side was soaking the other day, not pooling just soaked with water. So, now I have the carpet pulled up with a bunch of rags stuffed in there and a fan running. But, I don't want this to happen again. Are Rangers leak prone? Are there some common areas that I can check for holes or such? Suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt K.

You sure its just not from your shoes being wet/snowey when you get in. It melts and goes into your carpet?

I have the rubber floor mats but some water still gets through I have a fan blowing the drivers carpet out right now, becuase its soaked wet.

usually people have problems around the window seal on the front window or even that back window.

Check the rubber around the windows. If they are cracked may wanna replace or silicone those areas.

run the garden hose in the cowl panel on the drivers side and look under the dash, you will see water running in behind the e-brake pedal, where the firewall, kick panel, and cowl panel meet under the dash is where leakage happens. use ultra gray RTV and fill that corner full, if it doesnt seal, you will have to do it by removing the fender

Yea, once I get it dried out I'm gonna have someone run the hose while I'm inside to see if it's dripping in from somewhere. I'm pretty sure it's not from my shoes. I'm in Oregon and we only get snow about once or twice a year... as for the rain. There's more water than could be from my shoes. I'll have to check and see if there is some coming from the window seals or down by the e brake. I had a feeling that it was coming in from the wheel well, but I didn't see anywhere that it could possibly be coming from. Thanks guys for the suggestions.
