I'm gunna have to disagree with you because I have a tow truck scheduled to pick my truck up tomorrow because of the terrible clutch assembly in our trucks.

This will be my 3rd slave cylindar. I had them look at it a few weeks ago and it was "prefect." It went out on my way to work at the top of a hill on firday, but luckly I was able to coast into the parking lot to avoid being late.

I'd be really super pissed if this wasn't all under warranty.

That does suck. Mine's still original and I haven't had any problems. The clutch is okay, insurance is paying for the replacement. I'm gonna have a stage 2 put in. I've heard alot of ppl having problems with them, guess I'm just lucky.

edit: just to add....I had both and trust me. I'd still rather have a manual. The auto shifted like garbage after 15k miles and the dealer would just look at me shruggin his shoulders saying "I dunno, we'll put a note on file". I had a 95 auto escort with 200k miles that shifted better than my 03 ranger with 15k. That's pretty sorry. I beat the **** out of the escort and babied the ranger. pshhhhhhhhh.

Yeah, I can't say anything about an auto Ranger because I've never driven one (and I've driven a lot of rangers...lol). But I know my next truck will be an auto, whatever kind of truck it may be. The only manual I'll ever get will be in a car.

I sure do like having manual when I'm out wheeling. I find it makes it a helluva lot easier to rock when stuck. I'll probably never own another automatic trans as long as I can drive stick. My first car was an automatic and I just put it in gear and went. I find myself more involved with driving and paying attention with a stick.

I'm gonna catch flames for this, but who cares....

automatics are for those that are lazy and uncoordinated enough to drive a stick. Those that drive stick are enlightened.
