Hey everyone thanks for looking!! Well i just got a ranger at a good deal. it's a 98 ford ranger base model. And i wanted a better one but for 1,000 bucks wasnt bad. it's a 2.5l stick. Pretty good shape. but as everyone knows it's all base. I want to put power windows,power locks,power windows,rear slider,foglights,bucket seats, center console, bigger stock rims? tries? and the speed do with the tach. Ive looked on here and i just want the honest truth can i do all the mods. Can someone please take the time to explain to me if i can do this. i would appericate it a lot. Please Get back to me really like the truck but i got it for the gas milage. Please let me know!!

 

gauge with tach=easy
foglights=pretty simple i believe
bucket seats+centerconsole=quite easy

So where can i get a cluster with a tach how would i put it in? foglughts? where can i get the bucket seats and console from? Please explain a little more. Oh and do you know whats the mpg for a 2.5l 5 speed?

 

I would go to the local auto store and pick up a chilton's book on your truck for the wiring...

Check out the sale section on this site for console and seats, or just look on line..

 

i get about 22 with a heavy foot in an auto, 5spd guys get closer to 25+

find a gauge cluster on ebay or in a jy that is from a 5spd with a tach, buy it, take yours out, put that one in

foglights, certifit.com can sell you about all you need for that, or check jys and ebay

bucket seats you can cut yours down or get seats from an explorer, center console=explorer

 

so any cluster from a 5 speed ranger with a tach will work arent there any more wires? Any other wires do i have? Can i use ranger seats from another ranger single cab? I just dont like bench seats. And cant i get a driver seat with a console on it? Like i found a cluster with tach and i want to get it but is it plug and play so to speak thanks again!

ranger bucket seats are few and far between, maybe find a pic of what you like and i can help you more

yea, my truck came w/o a tach, its has one now

those seats should fit fine bud

 

ok awsome thanks for helping me out i really appericate it. will the console work ok? like since that came out of a extended cab?

 

I thought it made a differents between the years. I thought some of the newer models were different. Maby not, I may have gotten it mixed up with something else.

 

as long as its like 98-00....the newewr oens have digital odometers and that wont work
