New Ranger or not

Looking at purchasing a new 2011 club cab 4x4 with the 4.0 motor.

Trying to find out what the real world mileage will be. Ford states 15/19. What is the real average?

Stock, I'd say that is a good average.

I see that your mileage is with a 5 speed. This is an automatic. Anyone else have real numbers?

Thanks

I get 19-20 all day long--10 miles city, 60 miles highway round trip to work. That's with 5-speed auto, 4.10 gears, 265-75R16s, and a heavy right foot. When I go on long trips, like to Carlisle, I usually see around 21-22; once winter hits, I'm usually around 16-17--higher ethanol content in gas, plus letting it warm-up on cold mornings kills my mileage.

Mostly city I get 13-14ish... mostly highway I get 16-18... depends on the lead foot and traffic... but, I'm also running 33x12.50's w/ 4.10's and auto. I was getting 18-19 on highway and 16ish city with 245/75r16's when it was stock.

I get 18 - 20 in mixed driving. I have just under 6,000 miles on mine. It is a auto 4X4 with 3.73 gear.

20-22 Highway.

Averaging 16 or so in town.

The average since I bought the Ultragauge is 17. That's with mostly city driving

I've got a 2011 4 litre 4x4 auto. I admittedly drive it hard but I still average 14-15mpg.

It's a truck... don't buy it if you're looking for great gas mileage.

i get 13-14 mpg, and sadly, most of my driving is freeway/highway. but i also have 33x12.5's...it wasn't much better when it was stock either. if i'd have known the gas mileage in this particular truck was that bad, i would have just manned up and bought a full size, like an f-150 or something, since the mpg wouldn't have been that much different
