Holy shiz, Batman! My new truck is expensive to run.

I'm going to sell my truck and get a Toyota Prius instead.

I just don't care. I have to fill it. I drive 60 miles round trip to school/work every day, so I got through alot of gas. I was just happy my last tank got 15.85 mpg with my 302.

I just use my debit card, pump until it's full, and decline the receipt. It's free as far as I know

Try driving a 75 Cadillac that requires 90 octane + and has a 30 gallon tank. I think I put 97 dollars in there last week. The only good part is it will last me at least a month as I drive 2 miles a day.

I saw on the news where someone sucked ALOT of gas out of the tank at a gas station somewhere around here. I am talking like 1000 bucks worth of gas! Right out of the ground.

WOW $3.13. We've been pay $3.68 for the last week. That's for 87 octane. For 91 octane (the highest we can get here in Calif.) it's almost $4. Can't wait to see what a fill up on my Winnebago will run when we leave for our annual summer get away next month. $225-250 per fill up. In 2005 we spent $600 one day for gas. Can see that happening again easily. Ouch.

My friend (a Chevy guy) has a 91 GMC 1500. Into it he plans to install a 383 stroker with a super charger running a modest 6lbs boost (versus the 26 it CAN do). He will take the good running 350 from it and may plan to drop it into his beater S-10 he picked up for $450. Over in the corner of his garage, covered in tarps and whatnot sits a 460 pulled from a full size 350 or something.

Here's the kicker...

Calls me up the other day and says: "Ya know, I think I want to build an electric car. These gas prices are killing me."

...... uhhhh.... yeah.

Oh well. I chose to go with the 4.0 and love it. If gas prices get higher I will buy a scooter to do errands and go back and forth to work if need be. (8-10 mies each way with the fastest 'legal' speed of 45.)

Just my $0.02,
-Chance
