general question about Ranger manual trans.

I just bought a 2002 Mazda B3000 with 153k and immediately had a problem with the hydraulic clutch linkage. I installed a new master and burped it and everything is fine, I am 100% sure that the clutch is totally releasing. It seems, however, that I need to shift the trans from gear to gear very slowly, almost pausing in neutral. My thoughts are that the synchros are bad. In checking into my other problem (and when shopping) it seemed that there are a proportionally high number of these trucks with trans. and/or clutch problems. Are there any particular weaknesses that these trans. are exhibiting, i.e. weak synchros, or anything else? Thanks in advance for any helpful input.

I had trouble shifting my transmission too from first to second and was slamming it into gear to get it to shift then had my clutch and slave cylinder replaced and now it shifts fine so I would check and replace that
