I have a grizzly 700, it definetl will ft with the tailgate down, but you have to be REAL careful..
Problem is that the bumper sticks out further than the tires, so the bumper is the first thign to hit, the bumper is at the height of the back glass. Most people put a piece of wood or cooler in the front of the bed so the atv can't go all the way forward.
I would just invest in a 4x6 trailer, it's so much easier and nicer. you can find a used ne for about 3-400 dollars. One of my buddies just went through his glss last year with a 400 eiger, a little smaller than the grizz, and he had quite a bit of damage.
The main problem is that the front tires havto go over the wheel well, it's pretty tough to get them over without gunning it, so most end up slamming the back window or bed if their lucky.

I'm hoping to not have a dedicated trailer for this. I have a 5x8 that I can use but if I could make long trips w/o it I'd be much happier.
Thanks Guys,
Rich

rolsmojave3, himself went through the window. You have to be very very careful with them.
IMO, don't even try it, I wouldn't. I just know tons of people with rangers (stock) that get their 4 wheeler sin the bed. If you have access to a trailer, use it. The back window is not too cheap, comparitively (I could think of better things to use my money on ) and not to mention you could dent up your cab (like my friend did).
I wouldn't touch my grizzly in the bed of the truck.
Oh btw, check out www.grizzlycentral.com it's an awesome site for grizzlies. Nothing like RF, but it's got some good info. And I have a grizz too, so ask awy man, I've got tons of mods on mine.

Really? Bowed the tailgate huh? Hum... I will say this. I did notice this summer that the tailgate on my F150 was far heavier than the rangers. Guess that makes more sense.
btw, I don't have one yet. But this year I plan on getting something and getting into trail riding. Would like to maybe head out west for vacations and such. (real "trail" riding IMO would include mountians )
