I have a 2001 Mazda B4000 that I am looking to build up in the next little while. - I know it is actually a ford ranger - but when I want to order parts, which make/model/year of a ford ranger will match the parts to my 01 mazda. Mine is a 4.0 Ltr SOHC 4x4 extended cab 5 speed manual. I will write a list of what I want to do, and if anyone has any Part numbers and companies I can order this stuff from it would a HUGE help!

The main things I am looking for are

1.Front brush guard with winch - preferably one that I can take the lower valence/bumper off and replace with a skid plate.
2. 3" body lift, pref one that comes with everything I need to complete the job! Also, I hear when getting a lift to change the driveshaft with the explorer shaft? or is that just suspension lifts. (or is it worth it to go suspension)


My main idea for the truck is to put 33" tires on it, have a little bit of lift, brush guard and winch. I already have canoe racks and tow hitch.

The reason I ask is that I have nowhere to work on the truck due to living in an appartment, so I need projects that are relatively easy to install.

Order a brush guard for the same year Ranger as your Mazda (My Westin bar is off of a 2001 Ranger, with no problems), and order a body lift for the same year Ranger. It will all fit. You will not need a new driveshaft with a body lift, only with the suspension lift (I'm pretty sure about this, someone else will chime in).

Also, all your engine and transmission parts will be the same as parts for a Ranger with the 4.0 SOHC with 5spd.
