Got a cap
I got a Lakeland cap put on my truck today. I really wouldve preferred a tonneau, but I have 2 dogs and 2 kids and someday we intend to go do some camping with everyone along. So I got the cap thinking that the dogs would go in back. Tonight I asked my dog if he wanted to go for a truck ride. Of course he was ready and willing, so I let him out and I went to open the tailgate. He looked at me like "WTF are you talking about, I ride in front!" and wouldnt even come near me until I closed the back and opened the drivers door for him. I guess the kids are going to have to ride in the bed now

I too rode in the bed of truck ( with a cap) on a road trip, FL to MN! but me and my pops built a crazy "station" back there that housed a inverter that powered 2 Fans, a TV and the brand new( at the time) N64. it was me and my lil bro, it was hot at times because it was a summer road trip, but still pretty comfortable. Lol my dad did it because neither of could sit still on road trips and bug the hell out of him so he said screw yall are riding in the back.

Yep, pics will be coming. Cap p'ed me off this morning (and is about to again) Im beginning to part out old motorcycles and went to pick one up this morning. I brought tools because I knew Id have to lower the handlebars to get the bike in, but not only did I have to lower the bars, I still had to wrestle with the bike and lay it down in order to fit it. I know I couldve removed the cap, but I didnt have time for that.
Anyways, the picks will be coming shortly

I was tempted to go with a silver. I was nervous about the old green on the truck, and the new green on the cap. I can barely tell the difference between the 2, and anyways the sides of the bed where the cap are are pretty scratched up anyway so I have to face it, its a 10 year old truck that has been used like a truck

Its pretty bad, or takes some getting used to for backing and blind spots. I had found a used slab side on craigslist but didnt want to loose anymore visibility, even though Ive driven slab sided vans, I didnt like it.
Ok, Now Im wondering if I should crank the T-Bars to level it out now with the cap on? Suggestions please. I hear some say it will require and alignment, some say it wont. Wouldnt even an inch crank cause my tires to wear faster on the edges though?

Ok, since Im still pretty new here, fill me in a little about T Bars. I thought we all had them and they could be cranked.
By spacers, do you mean the things you put between the coils? I thought those were just really cheesy. I tried that on my first Mustang to get the rear end up, and they fell out pretty quick
Tomorrow Im going to set up the bed like I want it. Im going to get some 2 x 10s and some ramp ends to run along by the wheelwells, then some 2 x 10s to make some partitions and too keep the long boards in place. Then Im going to get some cable and a couple eye hooks to put the dogs on leashes if I leave them with the back gate opened. I will be able to haul 4' material easily and the whole thign can be knocked down quickly if I need to roll anything up into the back. Pics will follow
