Got hit by a dump truck.

luckily i wasnt in it at the time. so story behind this. i was working at a landscaping site where we were ripping up a concrete pad and then replacing it with a paver patio. i had parked the ranger out of the way(or so i thought) of the area on the street/grass. when the dump truck finished dumping the stone (for base under pavers) he was backing up so that the other worker could use the bobcat to dump the old concrete/dirt/stone into the bed. but the driver of the dump truck backed up too far and caught the driver side quarter panel like right where the 4x4 sticker is. the ranger moved about 3 feet as the backend of the dump truck plowed into it. it left a big dent, enough that it made the paint flake off at the edges. in one spot it looks like there is a hole.

i know there is no way i can pop the dent out, even if i did there would be a seam.
but how much do you guys think it will run me to get it fixed/ what will have to be replaced.
ill post better pics tomorrow after i get off work.

heres a crappy cell pic.

edit: damnit can a mod fix the mistake in the title? meant to say by not my

Dude you better not pay a cent to fix that. The driver or the company needs to pay for that!

Yeah, and I think you can still fix the title yourself.

try a pluger (clean of corse lol) to the lower part of it and see if it will pull out some. the upper part is pinched rather well and will be hard for a body shop to get to as well. but it shouldnt be on your dime. so critique the hell out of the work

Do they report stupid small stuff like that? If I bought a vehicle I wouldn't worry about any non-major damage.

Assume the other guy has insurance so the cost would be on him. Not sure a Dent Doctor could handle your dent...I once missed hitting a chisel with mini sledge and put a bad dent in the front fender of a customers car - had Dent Doctor fix it and they fixed about 99% of the damage for a lot less than the cost of a fender or what a regular body shop would charge.

Yeah, I was talking about the thread title. I think you have like 30 minutes after the initial post to change it.

thats almost exactly where my 94 got hit by some idiot who was backing up with a trailer. the damage almost looks identical too. shop quoted repairs at about $1300.But like others have said you should not have to pay a dime out of your pocket.

I have an 03 Ranger EDGE Styleside Bed, no flares, no Tail lights but can have the Tailgate, the Latch handle but no inners.
< 40 K on the bed, small scratches, one little dent on the top rail.
$400 in MA, not too far away, oh ya it is RED so it will need to be color matched.
