Well heres the thing i want to be higher but dont have much money i didnt really want to go the cheap cheap route of a body lift. i mean ive got nothing against them but i dont want all the troubles that come along with them. I just want more clearance to fit some larger tires without rubbing on the body itself. but gain some performance out of the suspension.

Shane is right. The superlift doesn't gain any performance. IF you gain any travel, it would be a very little in the rear from a longer shock, that is it.
You are better off with a 3" body lift, sway bar disconnects and bilstein shocks if you ask me. No need to worry about driveshaft problems there either. Performance accessories makes a good 3" lift that comes with everything you need. If you have a manual transmission you will need a shifter extension. That is the only negative with body lift, is a slightly longer throw on the shifter, and you will want to modify your hitch if you have one, but it's not needed.

i never used to be a bodylift fan myself... it just didnt seem like the proper way to lift the vehicle... after much thought and research.. i see nothing wrong with a bodylift.. easy and practical... like brianj mentioned.. you wont need the new driveshaft, also it doesnt alter any angles in your suspension.. leaving your ride as it was stock..
im in canada and offroad shops were quoting between 4-5g just for the lift+install... and roughly 700-1200 for a bodylift installed..
if you can afford the suspension then go for it.. but the bodylift will save you lots in the end youll basically have the same outcome...
just my 2 cents.

I agree 100%. Body lift is way cheaper and practical. IMO the superlift just isnt worth it at all. if you look at it you are really just as good if not better off with the body lift route than a superlift.
and i had no problems with my body lift either except a body bolt i broke off but got a new once from ace hardware and was good 2 go. the radiator was easy 2 drop and nothing stretched or gave me any issues. the PA kit is a pretty good kit with easy 2 follow instructions

agreed with the body lift guys.
im trying to sell my superlift now....havent even had it a year........a bodylift (if i had put it on instead of selling it) would have been a better decision for the most part.
yes, you have more clearance between the frame and the ground....but is it worth paying over a grand more?
.....i shoulda sas'ed my truck earlier....cuz like all of my friends said, it woulda been cheaper....but i didnt. so in the end.....i'll have wasted money. Oh well, ya live and learn and hopefully educate others.
if you dont wanna cut up your truck annd you want a cheap lift, body lift it.
if you wanna wheel the crap out of it and keep up, sas it. Not saying a superlift wont help, but i dont think it helps enough to cost more than a sas....
just saying.

Superlift is NOTHING compared to the issues RCD lifts have. Both kits require a front driveshaft change down the road. I complain about the torsion bar drop brackets...but there's still more clearence under it compared to stock because of the larger tires. Nothing a coil-over swap can't fix.

ya im going with the rest of the guys. bodylift it. my grandpa bought me a rugged trail suspensions 3" BODYLIFT that was made for a ranger, but i didnt own a ranger at the time so i put it on my s10.. i had no issue's other than sometimes a block would fall out but if you do it properly they wont. it was about 150 bucks and i did it myself.. very easy to install, no problems.. didnt even have to extend the shifter (its a 5 speed). i did pull the rubber boot from around the shifter for it to shift better though.. im gonna get one for my ranger and do it myself also.
