Read all the SAS build threads... Most of them say how much they spent on parts and such. At least look at what they did and do some research on the prices of the components and availability for your area, that will give you a rough low-end estimate. Some can be done for cheap, some can empty your bank account. Like zabeard said, it depends on what you want to do.

a cheap axle swap? I dont think there is such a thing. If so more people would have it done.

depends what your definition of "cheap" is. I have seen some fairly shoddy SAS projects that could be done for a couple grand tops... the price of buying a suspension lift kit.

Its like anything though, the more money and time spent, the better the finished product.

D44 then i would think im not big on the newer jeep and knowing the informations..

i think those are coils too

how big are the tires you are wanting to run?

id say for a good set up 4wd working, gears, tires, wheels the whole swap 5-7k depends on how much detail and not throwing it all together..

the new Jeep rbicons have a hybrid D44 with a D44 R&P and carrier? then D30 outer crap, so its a little stronger but not much stronger than a D30.. thats how i kinda understand it, i need to look into that some more

I'm with these guys, 5k easily. I did mine as cheap as i could, and i still came damn close to 3 grand(just to drive it), and I'm no where near done, i still have the rear axle to build, I need a front drive shaft, i want a new stronger rear drive shaft, I need to redo my steering linkage, new leaf springs... I need new tires, then to really go wheelin i still need a front bumper and some sliders

and once I get the money I'll be cutting all the leaf spring stuff off and linking it up. Its a huge money pit, expect to pay for lots of stuff you dont think your going to be needing
