Ok, but they're still low quality cars. Horrid ride and handling, unreliable engines (2.5's), have known electrical issues and irregular drivetrain wear, expensive parts (Mazda engine) and cost a lot to maintain. I had two, hated them both and a friend had an MX6 GT, crap as well. They were designed to replace the Mustang, and failed horribly.

I'm on my 2nd probe as well. It seems most people who have em, love em. Most everybody else just assumes they bad cars. I paid $1100 for my '93 gt 5spd in January of this year. It's a DD when I'm not in the truck or on the bike. 2.5L rev happy v6, 28 mpg hwy. It's a fun car, never had a single problem with it; maintenance expense wise, it's 100x cheaper than the Ranger. I've just gotten used to everyone talking **** on it, but I could name a dozen reasons why it's better than most other cars.
And I understand that everyone thinks (or knows) it was supposed to replace the Mustang, but that wouldn't make any sense, it would be like Chevy replacing the Camaro with a Cobalt. The cars are in completely different classes.

i helped my best friend build his gt. we swapped in the 2jz engine and transmission and did cams and valvetrain, swapped the intake manifold with composite heat spacer, full msd ignition, long tube headers into 2.5 inch exhaust. light wieght flywheel and stage 3 clutch. full coilover suspension and sway bars. fastest front wheel drive car i have ever been in!!!! smoked many supercharged v6 cars. he never had any electrical problems and the only drive line problem he had was blowing the front diff apart doing burnouts

ha ha ya my bad! i can never remember the name of the engine. what i can remember though is the stock heads on them do not like performance cams very much. we got the new engine and cleaned it all up and painted everything and put it in. we started it up and let it run and not even two minutes later we heard a wierd ping song and the engine died. turns out one of the valves broke and dropped into the chamber.... thank god for 30 day gaurantees

So you made the Toyota 2JZ engine front wheel drive and put it in a Probe? I think you mean to say KLZE... Also, if you need a site for the Probes I believe that ProbeTalk.com is your best bet. I used to read up on the forum over there until I bought my Ranger. Good luck with the car, I've always liked the way the Probes looked.
