Looking to purchase

Howdy, after years of owning a Toyota Tacoma Im thinking of purchasing a Ford Ranger XLT. The one Im interested in has 60K miles on it and the dealer is asking $16,9 for it. Granted thats the asking price and Im surely not going to pay that much. Whats a realistic number I can expect to pay? You can check the truck out here . Also what should I look for in terms of things that may be possible defects. The Tacoma's are notorious for sagging rear leaf springs and frames that rust out prematurely so naturally if I was looking for a Tacoma those are two areas I would focus on.

Thanks

Tug

Thanks DJ, I was kind of hoping to get them down to $15K but if you look at Kelly Blue Book they have that truck listed at $20K... wtf?

I'm with DJ, go for around 15k. it looks like a nice truck, but dealerships will always jack up the price to make profit.

I usually use the, "well, (in your case 15k) is about all i can swing this year, otherwise i'll have to go elsewhere"
and if they're like, "oh, we're sorry" then they didn't want to sell you a truck that bad anyways.

Click the link.

Welcome to RF.

I see you live in Thornton too. I'm off 78th and Washington.

As far as the price goes, 14-15k would be about right. I picked up my 05 with 33k miles on it last summer for 13k. I'd say I paid a fair price. I talked them down 3k believe it or not...
