02 Ranger problem area's

Just curious, because I'm not real well versed with it, what are the problem area's with the 02 Ranger's?

My dads '02 4x4 Supercab XLT 4.0/5-speed had a weird driveline vibration that never went away and that the dealer service dept. could conviniently "never replicate" Beside that, it was a great truck but got traded in 2 years ago on a new F-150. I haven't had a single issue with my '03 2wd XLT 4.0/automatic.

Mine makes a weird sloshing/slurping sound when accelerating between 2700-3300RPM's. Timing chain rattle? I wouldn't think so but stranger things have happened

Like everyone else said. Slave cylinder and timing chain rattle. Had both of them on my 01, but they fixed the timing chain for 03. Unfortunately the slave cylinder still sucks.
