i am asuming its an auto ranger. the autos wont rev above a certian RPM in neutral or park. its a over rev thing thats build into the computer. the only way to get rid of it is get a chip or programer

do a search for bamachips, there's tones of info all over this place. but what's the point of getting a tuner just so you can rev it in park??

just get on it while you are driving, and it's gonna take a couple K miles to break it in anyway.

the tuner is def a good buy, but for other reasons

there is no need to rev over 3,000rpm. It can just cause engine damage if its not under a load. Thats why ford put it on there (or i believe its 2,800rpm its restricted to). I have a manual, so i dont have a rev limiter in park or anyting.

I have a JET chip, it doesn't change the rev limit at all in your situation, I wish it did too though, haha. But it did definately give HP and torque gains and changed the timing, it's noticeable in the engine sounds compared to stock.

what every you want takes out the 85mph speed limiter. there can be 3 programs on the truck you talk to doug on what you want them to be. go to www.bamachips.com and shoot doug an email and ask your questions to him not us being he is the one that will make if for you

Just do what zach is telling you, and go to bamachips.com and get a xcal tuner from him, it gives you HP, takes out the rev / speed limiter, and helps on gas milage...

The REV. limiter on the auto 01's is at 3,000, i am assuming like all the new auto's too.

And the speed limited is 94 or something like that.

Bama Programmer is going to change that, and i doubt revving above 3,000 is going to hurt........Just as long as your not going absolutely rev insane.
