Hood won't unlatch without 2 people...

I go to open my hood and it won't pop up without someone lifting on it while I release it.

Any ideas what would make this happen? I do have 1 broken hood adjuster but I don't think that's it.

cable is too slack?

It could be the combo of a badly aligned striker, that missing bumper, and slack in the cable.

I vote alot of it has to do with that bumper.

oh.....and possibly metal on metal contact of the striker and the catcher at the latch....lube that S up and it should help.

this happens to me too. hasnt been so bad lately but I think it is a combo of slack and needs to wd40 it.

Rob....at your hood opener latch under your dash, it's adjustable. tighten the cable up...that should do the trick. Good luck bro.

Mine does this and it is due to the rubber seal sticking....
