Hey guys, I have a few questions about the Street Scene mesh grille insert...

- How well does it fit
- How hard is the installation
- What, if any, special care is required to maintain the finish
- How do you feel about the quality of the product
- How do you think it would look on a Harvest Gold truck
- Would you post a pic of yours

Sorry to ask so much, but I'm sure that some of you have this on your truck, and the web site isn't very informative. Thanks for the help!

I'm picking mine up at the Fed Ex depot today (why can't they just leave things here? I gave them a damned waiver telling them they could!) and I'll be installing it tomorrow. I'll let you know how the install and the fit go. I can't say exactly how it would look on harvest gold, but in my mind's eye it doesn't look half bad.

Mazda 6

Its not easy to install, although it would have been if I'd have had someone helping me. To screw in the screws you have to hold the grille in place against its own tension, if I had a 2nd set of hands it would have been much easier. Like all self-tapping screws, these worked not-so-good, and I decided to drill pilot holes anyway.

Here is the finished result:

oh yeah, and also.. how's the durability of the grill??? if someone were to lean on it or somethin.. it wouldnt crush in and loose its shape, would it?? i know its probably definately not like what im thinkin about.. but i saw one grill on a dif. car that had the same pattern.. and the material was cheap.. flexed very easily.. it was one of those "make your own" kind of grills..

I didn't have tow hooks, you would probably have to remove yours to get the lower grille to work. As for durability, it will deform if you push on it hard, its just aluminum, but it looks like its pretty easy to straighten back out.

Looks great! I assume that the self tapping screws were used on the lower valance, I didn't think it screwed into place on the main grille.

Nope, they go on top of the top grill. On my bottom I just used the bottom clips, held in place before I had them in, so I didnt mess with the tops.

I used 2 of the 4 top clips(for the lower grille,) it was a pain to get them on there at all.
