They mount using those push in rivet things.....the same pins that hold your flare on on the inside fender lip.

I made some templates of the PA gap gaurds so you can make your own....thinking of selling them maybe...

Folks have used thin rubber.

i got some rubber that would make excellent gap gaurds, its 1/8in rubber with fabric reinforcement.... its super nice stuff.

but you can buy push pins from any auto store. Look around, you need som soft easy to work with thin rubber... gap gaurds aint that hard to make.

personally...if u wheel your truck you wont want them, if its a pavement queen the i say go for it, but if u wheel it it will only give one more place for mud to collect and cause accelerated rusting....

Home Depot sells a good material for this in the flooring section, comes in a giant roll and you buy how ever many feet you want.

See the big gap between your frame and body when you bodylift at truck? Gap gaurds cover that big gaping hole.

You need to drill them yourself.

CORRECTION: 1/4" drilled hole. 5/16" pushpin rivet thing.

Here's some pics for ya. The front gap gaurds mount to the inner fender. Mine had both factory gapgaurds when stock. Yours might not have any at all. So i have holes there. Some of the gap gaurd holes line right up(the PA ones). So what you make you gotta probably drill. 1/4" holes for the 5/16" pushpin rivet things. The rears mount to a overhang under the bed(pictured below). Once again, 1/4" holes for the 5/16" rivety things. The Rivet things go through both the gapgaurd the innerfender/bed overhang.

Hope I helped.

Shane

o ok what are the PA dimensions on the rear guards? Its basically a long rectangle. I might also try to mount them at the bottom to keep them from flapping. Does anyone have any material suggestions as to what to make them out of? i looked at lowes the other day but could not find a rubber piece thick enough?
