#1 reason you dont see them is the frame is weak (crumple zones) and its rack and pinion.

ask yourself how many 04+ SAS'd F150s you see? Not too many same reason, its rack and pinion steering.

yep. if mine had a steering box, it probably would have already been done

There are 53 SAS's 98+ Rangers in the U.S. today

I just made that number up.

to put a steering box in IMO, you need someone that can machine parts down to work with the all the misc steering parts you collected from the junkyard. then if its not really close to true it drives all funky and parts wear on that intermediate shaft. I already have Ujoints wearing out in mine.

i have seen it too. I want full hydro, and I will still drive it on the street. you can, you just have to have the proper pressure in the lines so its responsive.

yea i know it can be setup correctly, but you have a daily driver, i do not YET(<---)... so for my to do full hydro and drive it everyday would be dumb. what happens if a line blows? too much of a risk IMO for more than just driving around for fun.

um buy good lines? the likely hood of blowing a ling while driving down the street is slim IMO.

so many ag/construction equipment run hydro for so many things. just keep an eye on the lines from time to time for wear.

Once i get my new DD the first thing i'm doing is taking off the bump stops, steering box and p/s pump.. welded rear/spooled front is gonna suck w/o hydro..
