I think that you will maybe get 2500-3000 depending on your area. Unfortunately accessories don't usually add value to the truck. It all depends on what similar trucks go for in your area.

Trade it for an extended cab. That doesnt solve your head room problem though.

None of your mods will help with trade in value. It sucks but its true.

Yeah huh, if you recline the seat youll get more headroom. Im 6'0 tall and fat as can be and ive fit in the front of any ext cab Ranger without a problem. I used to work at a place where we had regular cab Tacomas for delivery vehicles and it was hard to get comfy in there sometimes. I dont know anyone personally with a reg cab Ranger so i cant comment first hand, but i dont think its gonna be much better.

What pisses me off, is you put all this work into your vehicle to make it unique, then when you trade it in the dealer doesnt give you any more money for your work, but they will turn around and use your work and money you put into it to sell it for a higher price above the rest.

I know Ill be lucky to get $4k for her and she will be missed. If I do get anything else it will be a truck, just not another Ranger according to my dad. He did pay for this truck and is pushing for a newer truck(my truck is the oldest in the family) that he would help pay for, but my modding will be just basic maintenance until the warranty expires. If I keep the ranger I am no longer allowed to modify it according to him as it is his truck and "something breaks every week", though I am only home 3 more weeks till school starts.

So it's keep the Ranger as-is, or find a new truck.

ah man that really sucks.... as most have said you will have better luck taking it back to stock and selling the aftermarket parts on here or on ebay. Good luck with it and I hope it all works out for the best.

dude, just keep the ranger. its my favorite 2wd on here, and who cares about newer rigs, just more plastic crap and computers and all the other ****. the ranger would get better mpg than any fullsize truck, unless you get a diesel (which is what i would have) but thats just me, do what makes you happy. and just in case you get rid of it, what size are the front/rear wheels and size of front/rear tires?

Quick update.. still have the Ranger.. not going to part her out as this is painful enough.. title is in my dad's name not mine.. all those thousands spent to lift and lower are gone.

had a buyer at $4000 that liked everything but the exhaust, though my dad wanted atleast $4300 so the guy backed out..

Then my dad looked up the Standard Presumptive Value for taxes and now it's forsale for $5250.. his number, not mine.. I doubt it will sell at that price, but anyways I will be getting a bigger truck.. hopefully a F150 this weekend..

Here's my craigslist for fun: 2002 Ford Ranger XL 2.3L I4 Automatic Regular Cab Short Bed 80k Miles

If you liked what you did then it was money well spent, you dont look at it as a waste of money.

I dunno where you get thousands if i remember right you had a 3 inch lift and 31s for a simple lift so around what 800-900 total including tires?

you have a simple 2/2 drop cant see but $100 in that your biggest cost was tires...

You dad is dumb or just blind, the way the way the economy is and this many people not working for someone to have the 4300 in cash he should walk away with it and be thankful unless you like sitting on a truck for at least a year and still then you wont get what he wants.

I wanted 4k for my 98 with all brand new suspension, engine, and what not and walked away with 3500 cash I was thankful after sitting on it for a year.

Truck has had 4 sets of tires, 7 sets of rims, Lifted, Lowered, couple audio systems, SCT tuner, hood, grilles, bumper, bed rails, exhaust, intake, dash kit, 2 different seat covers, fender flares, replaced the taillights twice.. the list could go on.. not wasted as I learned alot but couldve done so much more if I had planned it out..

He will learn, he does not know the market right now for trucks. The truck is in his name so I will let him figure it out and sit on it. I believe if I had nicer rims and removed the exhaust, he could get $4500.

I will keep the next truck stock, but clean; until the title is put in my name when I graduate.
