I have a 3 inch body lift on my 99 4wd. Going to be cranking the tbars this weekend

will i need an alignment?>
and will i clear 35s fine?
i have 33s right now.

i dont have pics. but people have cleared 35's.
and i didnt get an alignment after i cranked my tbars. at least i didnt until recently. can't hurt though.

 

yeah thats what i figured . im unsure if 35's would look good thats why im looking for pics cuz im getting a steal on a set of 35in bfg a.t with 4000 miles on them for 750 dollars

 

iirc, they look pretty sweet. but do you wheel your truck at all? i wouldnt wheel a bodylifted truck on 35's, but thats just me. if you need new tires, and these are the best deal you can find, go for it, but if your 33's are fine, why get rid of em you know? they'll still look great with a body lift.

 

yea get the 35s i wish i had they will require some trimming but they look way better then 33s

 

i do wheel but the bl just isnt cutting it offroad anymore. so i think i may go for the look of 35s and save for Susp lift

 

crap i read wrong, i thought you were doing a BL and running 33's stock. my bad.

yeah 35's will clear, and if youre going for a suspension lift might as well go 35's as well!

Yup it'll clear fine. You should get an alignment though. Mine rub a little bit at full right lock but thats only on the plastic valance so trimming isn't a big deal.

you can run it on the street but you will rub if you actually wheel your truck

and if you want to keep you new tires I would get an alignment

 

not true had a tiny tiny rub at full flex on the rear flare and that was taken care of with a file........

 

If I can rub 32's and 34's with a body lift and matt could rub 35's with a body lift and RCD, I think the 35's will rub if he wheels hard.

 

hmm that sucks kinda like how my 35's on my superlift dont rub, never doubt it till you try it, my personal experience was that i didnt rub, everyones truck is different

 

I think it is more just a matter of getting in situations where the truck goes past the point of full flex and has to keep moving.

Stuff like this (best pic I can find of some off camber stuff that will make your truck make noises and rub in places you never thought) haha

 

well im not saying that its not possible but i have put both my trucks in situations such as the pic you have and did not find any rubbing.......

My 32's have rubbed my bed enough to pull it out and dent it a bit. My rear springs might have sagged a little, but it is the axel moving forwards and back that dents it.

 

^ dude you got a problem if your axle moves.

mine did that and it was because my ****ty lift blocks like morphed and the whole axle moves back and forth like 4-5 inches. my solution = remove lift block, insert stock blocks, run add-a-leafs to compensate.

 

yea trac bars help eliminate that as well

 

Doesnt move that much, not even close. It will move like a half inch at the most, but only when I am fully stuffed. The way I see it, the leaf springs are designed to flex. The only thing holding the axel in place are flexy leaf springs. You are going to get some movement, it is a natural symptom of axel wrap. You can see from my pic that there is not a whole lot of room there as it is. A half inch makes a big difference.

 

Ive contemplated trying 2 clear 35's with my t-bars maxed and maybe tryin 2 run some 2" keys and maybe add some 2" blocks in the rear but i dont know if that would work.

 

Do not run the torsion keys. It will kill your front end. If you are going to lift it, don't go cheap, it will end up costing you in the long run.

 

I thought you could run 35's stock lol just a little trimming hahah
