New exhaust kit....need flange bolts.

Hey ya'll,

Just ordered a Dynomax 39135 cat-back and its coming tomorrow!! I took a look under my truck and saw that the two "spring" bolts are badly rusted where the muffler pipe hooks up with the cat pipe. I need new ones for sure cause the nut and bolt are fused in one piece with some high quality corrosion. So heres my question, Autozone wants like $20 for these bolts, which seems pretty expensive to me. Can I just use some stainless $2 bolts from my local hardware store?? I read on one of the ranger forums that these "special" bolts must be used because it alleviates stress on the rest of the exhaust system (or something like that) SO whats the verdict, hardware store or blow the twenty on oem replacements?

TIA

I'd stick with what's meant to be on there. The bolts with the springs & nuts... I think the Walker number is 36129.

If I went with the generic bolt route, would i have to get the same size thread as the spring bolts? Are these two flange holes threaded or is it just the nut and bolt that holds the two exhaust pipes together?

Went to NAPA today and got the proper spring bolt kit for the exhaust flange. $18.50 out the door. I guess it was worth it to have good hardware on my new exhaust. But the important thing is I got it installed and it sounds sweet!!The hardest thing was getting the old one off, those rubber hanger things are a b***. The dynomax 39315 comes with the ultra flo ss which was a nice surprise. Thought it had the superturbo muffler...
